I’ve had similar thoughts and realize that I will probably never be a successful writer by the world’s standards. That’s ok. Writers write, and we are writing. What God does with our words is up to him. At least that’s what I tell myself from the bottom of that particular rabbit hole. Thanks, Meema!

Writers gonna write - it's what we are driven to do. You are a very good writer and I am sure you make a positive difference in the lives of others - even if you never know it. So keep on keeping on!

I'm not broken by care or losses,

and Iron is my given name.

I stride, a great shining Colossus

through the fields of sulphur flame.

My feet crush doubt beneath me,

my laugh is like a thunderstorm

and all the little demons flee

from the best man ever born.

You may well ask, is this conceit,

monstrosity of foolish pride?

Ask, but don't expect retreat,

for I will never deign to hide

the lamp gleaming within me still,

the chosen tool of Holy Will.

Does it ever frustrate you to realize that no one really grasps how difficult it is to compose a deep and profound thought in a poem or lyrics? We live in such an everything in an instant world, it's never considered. You and I are antiques for sure.

Actually, I don't get frustrated by anything, which kinda drives Barb crazy. She says I'm so laid back that she feels the need to check my pulse.

I don't really think of myself as a writer; the poems are concise homilies, forming a ministry of sorts.

But I don't think we're antiques. I think we're heralds of a golden literary and lyrical age to come.

My frustrations stem from being a keen observer. I see too much. I do know that the pendulum does swing back and forth and new generations come along and 'discover' and reinterpret older norms. I hope you are correct about a new age of literary excellence rising. I am not sure how AI might bend that. Before that happens though we will have to overcome baseness. I am always reminded of the stark analogy in the movie It's a Wonderful Life. The truth of the difference between Bedford Falls and Pottersville and how it impacts humans.

I don't pay much attention to AI. It will never achieve sentience, and people will eventually realize that, and relegate it to menial functions.

It's a bit like the Segway, that two-wheeled self-balancing 'peoplemover' that everyone thought would be the Next Big Thing.

When was the last time you saw one?

Never saw It's A Wonderful Life. Shrek is more my style.

Hope you are right.

Also you plant seeds and you have to accept that. You have had so much harvest from all of your seeds. you don’t always see them. Just know that you are one of his favorite!!!
