Thank you! I am a bit doubtful that the great grands will have the devices necessary to play the music of now. I saved an old 8 track player, that is sitting on a shelf in the basement, so I could play the recordings my dad with my kids with they were little. It might still work but I doubt. it. 🙄

BTW, I will always be so grateful that you introduced me to SUNO.ai. I've been writing lyrics most of my adult life. My lame attempts to get them into listenable music with my guitar, or in later life my ukulele, were - lame. But that day early last July I read your substack on the topic and I thought - aw- well, worth a try. I loaded the song that I wrote years ago about my mother. Five minutes later I clicked on one of the two comps and ten seconds in I thought I was going to have a heart attack - OMG!!! So, now, almost a year later the lyrics keep coming and I don't think I will ever get over it. I am half blind, bad knees, so limited in what I can do nowadays. But I can sit, and write, and put lyrics together that just form somehow. Then I make a video, which I've also been doing for decades. Wow. Just wow! Thank you thank you THANK YOU!!! ❤️

Another wonderful post, April! "Freeing" is the right perspective as we downsize. To let go of belongings is to have less to take care of, freeing up time for more pleasurable pursuits. To let go of hurts, disappointments, guilt, etc. is to free up the spirit for more joy and shalom. Lots to be said for letting go!
