Thank You, Mom
We’ve discussed this - that thing about time being a thief. The years whiz by and one minute you are juggling the activities of three kids then the next you are doing art projects with your little grands and the next thing you know you don’t have the energy to be able to do art projects with your great grands.
But, fortunately, all these years that I have been making little videos of my peeps sort of steps up to defy that time thief and makes it possible to relive some sweet moments.
Eleven years ago I made a video for Mother’s Day of my grands thanking their moms. I was still doing my Mother Eartha puppet vids back then. Good times, good times.
I have to admit - all these years I have watched and posted this vid it did not hit me quite like this time. It’s one thing that you blink and your kids to go from toddlers to teenagers but once they get old enough to have their own kids - well - it’s a whole ‘nuther thing to wrap your brain around.
Don’t even get me started on their kids having their own kids. What?
Maybe it’s not that time is a thief. Maybe it’s just a big circle. One generation follows another in the Divine natural process. What we need to be more concerned about is being fully in each moment - cherishing the chaos and holding tight to the art of Mothering/Mentoring staying centered on God’s pure foundational laws for righteous living - honesty, self-control, accountability, kindness.
Because before you can blink, the opportunity has rolled on.
So, here it is - one more time...with some teensy updates.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there - Thank you!
XOXO
Meema
