I can relate as I've recently entered my eighth decade. When I have an illness that lingers my mind can take the experience all the way to my funeral. But God isn't calling me home quite yet, at least not at this moment. When my health is once again restored, I'm somewhat surprised that is even possible. God faithfully continues to heal me time after time.

Every day, every experience is an opportunity to learn something. Most often what we learn from our struggles is the most important. We have a family friend who has been a servant of Christ most of her adult life. She is going through some serious health issues at the moment. At one point she determined that she would rather just go ahead and die. She told my daughter that one day she told God that she understood that Jesus suffered for a reason but she could not understand why she was suffering so. She got a quick response - "Why not?" gulp
