A good reminder, April. America has come through a number of crises over the years. Those with eyes that can see recognize God's hand in the resolution of each, beginning with the unlikely victory of thirteen rag-tag colonies over the mighty British empire. I pray God preserves our great nation for years to come, but if that is not part of his plan, then I pray "In God we may trust," to be ready for a future that may include suffering before the final triumph.
As I read this, I thought of this verse: "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." (Eph 6:12). It is a crazy, scary time, but if I can keep in mind this verse, it helps me because I know who ultimately won the battle. We are just walking through the journey to the joy set before us. What a great song!! Thank you so much!
